Influence Audit:
Who influences your decisions?

Whose voice carries weight when you make a choice?

About 5–8 minutesPrivate on your device

People, information, surroundings and expectations can all shape a decision. Name a few influences, describe their weight and notice how they fit what matters to you right now.

There are no right or wrong answers. This is about your experience of influence, not judging a person or relationship.

You can use roles instead of names. Your entries stay on this device.

Entries stay in this browser. Saving depends on storage being available.

Use roles such as Parent, Partner, Manager or Mentor instead of full names. No response is sent to a server.

What influences our decisions?

A trusted friend's view, an online feed, money pressures or an expectation of yourself can each carry a different kind of weight. An influence can feel supportive in one area and mixed in another. This activity asks for your description, rather than guessing from someone else's behaviour.

Why notice influence?

Naming an influence gives you something specific to reflect on. You might appreciate support you had overlooked or notice a choice that deserves more thought. Influence itself is not a problem, and this map is not a verdict on people.

How the audit works

Add up to ten roles, sources or pressures. Rate their influence from 1 to 5, then describe it as supportive, mixed or pulling you away from your current priorities. Areas and notes are optional. You can revisit every entry before completing.

What you will create

An Influence Map and a private snapshot of your ratings. Strengths 4–5 are grouped as strong, 3 as moderate and 1–2 as lower. Alignment remains the description you chose. No weighted scores, percentages or tie breakers are used.

Privacy on your device

You do not need to enter names. Entries, notes and reflection are stored only in this browser when local storage works. They can be visible to others who use the same browser profile. Start Over replaces this activity's saved attempt; other activities stay separate.

How to interpret your snapshot

A strong mixed influence may be worth examining, without implying anything about another person's intentions. A lower rating is not a judgment of importance. Your circumstances and ratings can change. This original reflection tool is not a scientifically validated influence measure, psychological diagnosis or relationship assessment.
